Choose Your Own Self, a photo exhibit by Tessa Ehrman, is a portrait series exploring how we feel on the inside and how we shouldn’t be afraid to embrace it. Ehrman is a technicolor weirdo obsessed with nostalgia. With past shows and pieces, she has developed a style all her own, which will be further explored with this series of portraits. Each portrait will be heavily styled, involve plenty of color and glam, while also encouraging the subjects (and in turn the viewers) to be their ~true~ selves, sometimes ugly, sometimes funny, sometimes beautiful.
There will be originals, prints and merchandise on hand for sale. There will be booze, beer provided by Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company, live tunes by DJ Alexo, the portraits themselves, and the shop will be open for business to keep everyone looking fresh.
Following the opening day, the exhibit will be on display through August 23.
