The Raindrop Foundation has organized the Turkish Language and Culture Olympiad in Texas since 2007. This year's contests will host contestants from seven states, including Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico and Arkansas. Students will compete in 10 categories, including singing, poetry, talent, picture and figure, folklore, language, state exhibition, speech,and presentation.

In addition to students from K-12 schools and universities, students learning Turkish language and cuisine at Raindrop Foundation locations in 17 cities in Texas and neighboring states will compete in an adult category. The winners will be crowned at the Turkish Culture and Language Olympiad Awards Gala in Houston.
