The Commissioned concert is presented as part of Duo Scordatura’s “The Commissioned Project,” an endeavor to spotlight current and up-and-coming composers and to explore collaborations between composer and performer. The program will feature six world premieres commissioned by the duo as well as works of other composers with strong ties to Houston. Founded by violinist Nicholas Leh Baker and violist Faith Magdalene Jones, they perform regularly around Houston and collaborate often with various musicians of all styles.
