A gender-bending epic from indie filmmaker Sally Potter, Orlando covers four centuries of sexual politics through the eyes of its sex-switching, time-traveling title character. Tilda Swinton plays the androgynous Orlando, who begins the story as a young nobleman in Queen Elizabeth's court. The cast also features Quentin Crisp and Billy Zane. Based on the 1928 novel by Virginia Woolf.
