Doc Severinsen is most widely-known as the bandleader of The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. In 2006, with retirement on his mind, Severinsen moved to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. He heard classical guitarist Gil Gutierrez and violinist Pedro Cartas play and thoughts of retirement vanished. They formed a trio and have performed together ever since. Their music is described as "Latino with a European flair."
