French artists Jocelyn Cottencin and Emmanuelle Huynh will present a new project, Lands - Portrait of the City of Houston, which was developed on-site during their residencies in Houston in fall 2022 and spring 2023.

Asking a series of questions that draw attention to the body and its position within the local landscape, this new work takes into consideration local architecture, urban living, and how Houstonians tell stories. Their work expresses an interest in observing and viewing urban territories through gesture and movement, history, and place.
