Continuing DiverseWorks' tradition of introducting and supporting innovative experimental live music and sound, "Dance Party" includes a selection of DJs, artists and musicians whose works reach across a range of genres. For this gathering, DiverseWorks highlights Ben Aqua, Bombón and Dave Wrangler.

Ben Aqua is an artist and musician based in Austin. Born in Brooklyn, his visual work has been exhibited internationally and published in Rolling Stone, Spin, Flaunt and Bloomberg Businessweek. His music has been featured by Mad Decent, DFA Records, Modular People, Interview Magazine and Dummy Mag. He has shared stages with The Crystal Method, DJ Rashad, Big Freedia, NGUZUNGUZU, Zebra Katz, Madeon, Com Truise, Onra, Run DMT, Lightning Bolt, A Flock Of Seagulls and Computer Jay.

DJs Gracie Chavez, Navó, OG Bobby Trill and Panchitron are spearheading a new digital Latin sound in Houston with Bombón, a monthly tropical dance party that introduces booming tropical beats from South and Central America.

Dave Wrangler's  multi-genre production and performance styles blend elements of electronica, disco, indie rock and hip-hop. His music has been featured by Sirius XMU, Clear Channel Radio, BBC Radio 1, East Village Radio, Hype Machine, Mad Decent, Sony, VIBE, MTV, NME, World Star Hip-Hop, Paste Magazine, BET and Microsoft.
