The Witch's Granddaughter comes for a wintry garden visit. Rapunzel is locked in the tower. Little Red Riding Hood, lost in the forest, is relentlessly stalked by a She-Wolf. The Sorceress muses in her mirror. Seven brothers are turned to Ravens and only their little sister can save them. The Firebird, encountered on a wooded trail, flies free — forest branches entangle and enchant in a world of light and shadow. Welcome to the fantastical world imagined by one Houston-based artist.

Divergence Vocal Theater debuts a new operatic song cycle with music by George Heathco. This concert, music video premiere and digital EP release celebration includes a 30-minute performance plus an after party with yummy treats and libations.

Performers include Divergence Vocal Theater artistic director and soprano Misha Penton, composer and electric guitarist George Heathco, cellist Daniel Saenz and dancer and choreographer Meg Brooker. Environmental performance lighting created by Raul Casares, Dave Nickerson and Frank Vela.

Digital EP flash drives will be available for purchase at the performance. Tickets may be purchased online.
