In collaboration with the Greenbriar Consortium Chamber Ensemble, this performance will feature musical selections from Schoenberg, Wagner, Schubert, and Zemlinsky. Throughout the performance, geneticist Gilbert Cote will share insight about genetic disorders that cause conditions which, in the past, have led to the creation of mythological creatures. In addition musicologist Nancy Bailey will discuss these figures and their evolution throughout music and literary history.
