Join for this lunchtime discussion. This week's presenter is Houston artist, activist and photographer Jessica Crute. Crute will introduce a dialogue exploring the use of social and political issues in contemporary art and how art can both interpret and inform a collective identity.
Jessica Crute is a contemporary artist and founder of the Voice of the Homeless, which aims to create awareness and advocacy for those who are without a home through the creation of art in public spaces and through partnered ministries within the community. Crute is a teaching fellow at the University of Houston and an instructor at the Houston Center for Photography.
