Discovery Green hosts Silent Film/Live Music. Houston ensemble Two Star Symphony returns to the park with a performance of their original score to the silent film Girl Shy (1924, 87 min.), a classic romantic comedy directed by Harold Lloyd.
Guests are invited to arrive at 7:30 pm for a 1920s costume contest, with the chance to win gift cards to The Grove, and Charleston dance lessons with Dance Houston. The film screening and concert will begin at 9 pm. Blankets, lawn chairs and picnics are welcome; food, beer and wine are available for purchase on site from the Lake House Café. No glass containers or outside alcoholic beverages are allowed.
