Houston's outdoor skating rink returns this Thanksgiving Day at Discovery Green. From live jazz music on Tuesdays to Top 40 hits on Fridays, the ice rink offers a different theme for each day of the week.  The rink opens Nov. 26 and closes on Jan. 18. Generally, the hours of operation are 4 p.m.–10 p.m. Monday through Thursday during the school year and 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and school holidays. The site provides a separate list for official holidays such as Christmas and New Year's.
