Discovery Green
Presented for the first time in Houston, this show honors influential stride pianist, composer and singer Fats Waller. Houston's own Jason Moran brings jazz back to its dance music origins, using the rhythms of Motown, house and hip-hop. The High School for the Performing and Visual Arts Jazz Combo kicks-off the night.
