Candido will perform with Houston's premier Latin youth ensemble Caliente. Now in his 90s, LP's elder statesman Candido Camero's touch on congas is still sure, his time is solid and his sound is his own. Heralded as the father of the technique of coordinated independence, Candido continues to perform throughout the world, including the reunion album Inolvidable, which pairs him with the great Son singer Graciela Perez.

This is a ticketed event for the covered seating area. Free tickets are available (four per person over age 16, while they last) at the Miller Outdoor Theatre box office the day of the performance between 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. If tickets remain at 1 p.m., the box office will re-open one hour before show time to distribute the remaining tickets. Open seating on the hill is always available.
