In conjunction with Graphic Design-Now in Production, CAMH presents Design Now-Houston, a five-part lecture series that explores a wide-range of graphic design output in the city. This week, artists Ronny Quevedo, Tierney Malone and Carlos Hernandez will speak about their respective work and their varied relations with the world of graphic design.
Quevedo is currently an artist in residence at the MFAH's Core Program. Quevedo's work bridges the space between art and graphic design. Malone is an artist, musicologist and historian whose interest in the sights and sounds of music culture and history are deeply embedded in his work. Hernandez is an artist and screen printer who owns and operates Burning Bones Press. He has made posters for many major musicians, including the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Arcade Fire and BB King.
