Co-chairs Elizabeth Jeffers and Marie Louise Kinder and the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) Greater Houston will host the sixth annual Help…Hope…Healing Luncheon. Since 2012, the luncheon has raised more than $1,800,000 to support DBSA’s life-saving mission to provide free and confidential support groups for individuals living with, and family and friends affected by, depression and bipolar disorders.
This year, The Robert and Janice McNair Foundation will be honored with the Gary Levering Mental Health Impact Award for making critical strides in diminishing the stigma of mental illness and increasing awareness of mental health through its important contributions to medical research, generous support of local mental health agencies, and McNair Scholars in mental health.
The luncheon will welcome television presenter and radio show host, and Emmy award-winning and Grammy nominated pianist and composer John Tesh as he shares his unique insights about mental health and personal experiences with mental illness. In addition, DBSA Greater Houston will make a special naming announcement.
