The public can get a first taste of the dishes that Chef Evelyn Garcia will be including on her menu at Decatur Bar & Pop-Up’s Grand Opening Celebration. Garcia, Decatur Bar & Pop-Up Factory’s first chef-in-residence, who has spent the past three months gaining valuable knowledge on how to run a restaurant through her rotating family-style, prix fixe menu served on Fridays and Saturdays, will be taking the next step in her residency.

Starting on Tuesday, April 30 she will now be offering a full menu to the public Tuesday through Saturday featuring a refined selection of her unique southeast Asian meets Latin dishes. In addition, Decatur Bar & Pop- Up Factory is announcing that because of the success of her weekend dinners, she will remain the chef-in- residence through the end of 2019.  Garcia’s expanded menu will feature items such as massaman short ribs; shrimp, sour yellow and vegan green curries; chili jam, mango, and papaya salads, and large format dishes like ginger-glazed whole fried fish and coconut marinated chargrilled pork chops,
