Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) Greater Houston will host its fourth annual Help…Hope…Healing Luncheon. DBSA Greater Houston provides free and confidential support groups for thousands of individuals living with, and family and friends affected by, depression and bipolar disorders.

This year’s speaker is Kay Redfield Jamison, Ph.D., a full professor of psychiatry at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. A leading authority on bipolar disorder, Dr. Jamison is widely considered America’s preeminent writer and speaker on this topic. She has published several nationally acclaimed books, including the best sellers An Unquiet Mind and Night Falls Fast. Dr. Jamison’s groundbreaking work has helped to raise public awareness and alleviate the stigma of mental illness.
