Starring award winning dancers from China and Houston, the 14th Annual Splendid China will feature all-new choreography in an international collaboration between the dancers from China’s top-ranking companies and Dance of Asian America.
Splendid China 14 will show audiences all that the vast country of China has to offer in culture, tradition, history, and varying lifestyles of numerous ethnic minorities. Chinese dance dates back over 5,000 years reflecting the history, traditions, and customs of China and each of its 56 ethnic sub-regions. The most recent and award winning choreography from China will be presented by national/international guest artists from the Shanghai and Beijing Dance Company as well as amazing local dancers from DAA’s top four performing companies.
