Dedicated to one of the giants of abstract impressionism, Philip Guston, and performed among the monumental paintings of another, Mark Rothko, Morton Feldman's For Philip Guston is five-hour piece that requires extraordinary focus and stamina from the three musicians who take on the challenge of performing it.

The concert — which features flutist Claire Chase, percussionist Steven Schick and artistic director Sarah Rothenberg on piano and celeste — is presented in conjunction with The Menil Collection's exhibition Art and Truth: Gandhi and Images of Non-Violence.
