Da Camera presents the Houston premiere of a groundbreaking work, a semi-staged concert version of composer Missy Mazzoli's multi-media chamber opera Song from the Uproar: The Lives and Deaths of Isabelle Eberhardt. Mazzoli has been called "Brooklyn's post-millennial Mozart."
This 2012 opera was inspired by the journals of Isabelle Eberhardt, the explorer, nomad, journalist, novelist, passionate romantic, Sufi and one of the most unique and unusual women of her era.
Da Camera welcomes Abigail Fischer, who attended Bellaire High School, back to Houston.
