Pianist, composer and arranger Geri Allen makes her first appearance on Da Camera's jazz series. A recipient of the John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship Award for Music Composition, Allen was the first woman and youngest person to win the prestigious Danish Jazzpar Prize. Geri Allen and her trio are joined by veteran saxophonist Gary Bartz, who played with such legendary figures as Art Blakey, Charles Mingus and Miles Davis.
