Da Camera continues its jazz series with the first Houston appearance by pianist Gerald Clayton and his trio. Clayton has emerged as one of the most acclaimed young artists in jazz. A three time Grammy nominee for Best Improvised Jazz Solo, Best Instrumental Jazz Composition and Best Jazz Instrumental Album for Bond: The Paris Sessions, Clayton won Rising Star–Pianist in the 2010 Down Beat Critics Poll.

Clayton is well on his way toward etching his own enduring mark in the long and rich tradition of jazz. Never has this been more apparent than in Life Forum, his latest recording on Concord Jazz and his most ambitious project to date.
