Da Camera continues its season-long exploration of the string quartet with the first Houston appearance by The Danish String Quartet. The Danish String Quartet has reached incredible heights in the course of its 10 years of existence. The quartet was appointed to the prestigious Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Two program for the 2013-14 season. This achievement comes as the last in a row of distinguished accomplishments. In 2009, the quartet won First Prize in the Eleventh London International String Quartet Competition.
The quartet performs works of Haydn, Beethoven and Danish composer Carl Nielsen.
