Da Camera presents Cy Twombly and Music

Da Camera has a 30-year relationship with the Menil Collection. In celebration of the partnership, they will present a special art and music program in the Cy Twombly Gallery. Virtuoso flutist and MacArthur fellow Claire Chase features works inspired by the paintings of Cy Twombly, in the Menil’s gallery dedicated to his work. Chicago-based, Brazilian composer Marcos Balter’s Descent from Parnassus was composed for Claire Chase. In a conversation with artistic director Sarah Rothenberg and Clare Chase, guest composer Erik Ulman will share his personal reminiscences of his friendship and correspondence with the artist.
