Alluring music from the eclectic cabarets of turn-of-the-century Paris and Vienna descends upon a memorable backdrop at Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens, offering an edgier alternative to conventional holiday entertainment. Da Camera curates four soirées inside Bayou Bend’s elaborate Spiegeltent, each performance featuring different world-class artists and thoughtful musical themes.

Traveling to Texas for the first time, the Cristal Palace Spiegeltent — with its russet mahogany, faceted mirrors and stained glass — welcomes guests into a nostalgic, old-world ambiance amid the lushness of Bayou Bend’s Diana Garden. First built around 1900, Spiegeltents historically traveled from town to town throughout Europe as nomadic venues for leisure activities, social dancing and community fairs.

Da Camera’s artists include artistic director Sarah Rothenberg, German mezzo soprano Sonja Bruzauskas, jazz vocalist Danielle Reich, and the Houston Chamber Choir.
