This all-star trio features pianist Geri Allen, drummer Terri Lyne Carrington and bassist Esperanza Spalding, three of the most important instrumentalists in jazz today, each redefining the role of women in jazz. Originating with their work on Carrington's Grammy Award-winning The Mosaic Project, ACS stretches boundaries and revels in the art form.
The trio is elegant, experimental and unquestionably bold. The trio pays homage to legendary saxophonist and composer Wayne Shorter, who comes to the Da Camera series with his quartet on April 4.
