Come to the first-ever CultureMap Night at the Movies. In conjunction with Alamo Drafthouse West Oaks, CultureMap cinephile Joe Leydon will regularly pick an undiscovered movie treat or classic that deserves to be shown on the big screen. First up: Sweethearts of the Prison Rodeo, a 2009 documentary that goes behind prison walls to follow convict cowgirls on their journey to the 2007 Oklahoma State Penitentiary Rodeo. Director Bradley Beesley will also be on hand for a Q&A after the screening.
