In his lecture "Revisiting Poetics," writer, activist and artist Gregg Bordowitz uses Aristotle's seminal text as a starting point for a discussion on the interrelatedness of disciplines and its relevance to contemporary art.
Bordowitz, who serves as a professor at School of the Art Institute of Chicago and director of the SAIC Low-Residency MFA Program, published General Idea: Imagevirus in 2010 and earned the 2006 Frank Jewitt Mather Award from the College Art Association for his collection The AIDS Crisis Is Ridiculous and Other Writings 1986-2003.
