Guests will be enveloped in the feel and the foods of Brasil under a tent just outside Central Market. Enjoy a sampling of traditional dishes prepared by this internationally known chef who is one of Brasil's most ardent advocates. Yara Roberts hosted the PBS Emmy-nominated Cooks Tour television series and currently operates the Academy of Cooking and Other Pleasures in Paraty, Brasil. She has been featured in Ultra Travels and the New York Times and is the subject of Delicous Brasil, a new series about Brasilian cooking and lifestyles that is in production for American and Brasilian audiences.
Enjoy her lively presentation that will introduce you to the regions of Minas Gerais, Bahia, the Amazon and the Cerrado and sample typical dishes, paired with Brasilian wines.
Menu includes: Pao de Queijo (Cheese Bread); Tapioquinhas (Mini Crepes made with Sour Manioc Starch); Puff Pastry Hearts of Palm Pie with Salad; Bobo (Shrimp Stew with Plantains) served with Acaca (Rice Flour Polenta); Grilled Chicken with Farofa (Manioc Flour with Dried Fruit); and Pineapple, Colonial-style.
