Spend an evening with one of Food & Wine magazine's Best New Chefs of 2012 as he focuses on the perfect menu for a family-style backyard party. You'll learn to layer summertime flavors in a delicious meal. The chef will give you insider's tips into working with dry chiles, reveal how to make a 'go-to' barbecue rub for steaks on the grill, show you how to create a bright and festive chile red sauce and he'll demystify the humble tamale.

Menu includes: Barbecue Beef Coffee Cure (a Spice Mix for Steaks) on Strip Steak; Fresh Herb Chimichurri; Charred Tomato & Watermelon Salad; Steamed Chicken Tamales; Tejano Red Chile Sauce; and The Perfect Pico de Gallo.
