This conversation among Rice professor Anthony Pinn, Lehigh University professor Monica Miller, musical artist and Rice University guest lecturer "Bun B" (an original member of the southern rap duo UGK) and others to be announced will explore the hip-hop genre's contribution to nonviolence and social justice.

This event is part of Gandhi's Legacy: Houston Perspectives, an initiative of the Menil Collection. It is an exploration of nonviolence and the resonance of Mohandas Gandhi's philosophy by Houston cultural, educational and social justice organizations.
