Houston's top chefs will cook up cuisine and raise awareness of the plight of Houston's growing homeless population for "Come to the Table – Serving Hope to Houston's Homeless, Body, Mind and Soul."
The two-part culinary evening will begin at 6 p.m. Under the guidance of host chefs Randy Evans (Haven and Cove), 2014 James Beard Award nominee Hugo Ortega (Hugo's, Backstreet Café and Caracol), John Sheely (Mockingbird Bistro) and Claire Smith (Shade and Canopy), this unique culinary experience will feature some of Houston's most acclaimed chefs and will include a cocktail reception, seated four-course dinner and auction.
Joining in support will be Efisio Farris (Arcodoro), Kevin Naderi (Roost, and Lillo and Ella), Kevin Bryant (Eleven XI) and The Beacon's own Mike Puccio, who will prepare a dining experience in the kitchen that serves hundreds of Houston's homeless.
Proceeds will support The Beacon, a nonprofit organization that provides services that restore dignity, self-respect and hope to Houston's poor and homeless.
