Cinema Arts Festival: Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer

eventdetail

Oscar-winning documentarian Alex Gibney’s Client 9 is an in-depth look at the rise and fall of New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer. Nicknamed "The Sheriff of Wall Street" when he was the state's attorney general, Spitzer prosecuted crimes by America’s largest financial institutions and some of the most powerful executives in the country. But, shockingly, Spitzer's political career ended abruptly after the New York Times revealed that the paragon of rectitude had been regularly seeing prostitutes.

Gibney and writer Peter Elkind will be present at the screening.
