The Clear Lake Symphony will open their 2023-2024 season, their 48th, with an evening of light classical and popular music for their Fall "Pops" concert underwritten by Pat Swartley.
Music will include The Star Spangled Banner; Strauss’ Voices of Spring; Rossini’s Barber of Seville; Barroso’s Brazil; Duke’s April in Paris; Ellington’s Do Nothing Til You Hear From Me; de Falla’s Ritual Fire Dance; Jones’ It Had To Be You; Powell’s Music From How To Train Your Dragon; and Badelt’s Medley from Pirates Of The Caribbean; Anderson’s Blue Tango. Composer-In-Residence Michael Kasinger will premiere his new piece, A Blue Speck.
The Symphony will be led by Robert Wall, in his 30th year as Associate Conductor.
