The novella by Dickens, originally published in 1843, follows the familiar story of redemption of the stonehearted Ebenezer Scrooge. A visitation by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley triggers a series of journeys with the various spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Future. These otherworldly voyages show Scrooge the errors of his life to date, instigating a remarkable turnaround in his worldview and actions going forward in life.
