The first half of the program on night two of the Classical Minds International Guitar Festival will be guitar and piano by husband and wife duo Jay Kacherski and Lina Morita. They will play the premiere performance for guitar and piano of Brazos de Dios, composed by Houstonian J. Todd Frazier first for guitar and orchestra.

Kithara Duo (Olga Amelkina-Vera and Fernand Vera) play the second half of the program. Amelkina-Vera is an international award-winning composer. She just won the American Prize Composition Competition in the Instrumental Chamber Music Division. In addition to Olga’s original compositions, Fernand and Olga regularly contribute to guitar duo repertoire through arrangements and transcriptions of music by such composers as Albeniz, Ferrabosco, Soler, and Vivaldi.
