City of Sugar Land's New Year's Eve on the Square celebration will be divided into two segments in an effort to cater the event to diverse age groups.
A children's celebration beginning at 7 p.m. will feature music and entertainment from Radio Disney on the main stage, a bubble artist, LED balloon artists and other street performers. The celebration will close with a spectacular fireworks show at 9 p.m..

Illuminated statuesque "Light Beings" will seem to glide along the columns of Sugar Land City Hall while elaborate cirque jugglers and stilt walkers entertain the crowd within the plaza.
An entertainment staple in New Orleans's French Quarter, the Dragon Masters interactive comedy team will keep everyone laughing while Flipping Out, a stunt trampoline group from Florida, will amaze the crowd with their air-catching moves.
Parking is available at both the Texas and Lonestar garages. There will be additional parking at Mercer Stadium (16403 Lexington Blvd.), with a free shuttle service to Town Square from 6:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
