Hancock Whitney Bank and the City of Pasadena will celebrate the grand opening of a new playground and a 171-foot mural at Pasadena Highlands Park. The family event will feature food trucks, children’s activities, and cool treats.

Created by Hancock Whitney Bank in partnership with KABOOM! and the City of Pasadena, the playground was designed with input from area children and built in just six hours. The project is a part of Hancock Whitney’s ongoing commitment to create opportunities for people and the communities the bank serves.

Supporting the bank’s commitment to financial education, the playspace incorporates basic math and financial literacy concepts into playful learning experiences. A 171-foot mural by Houston-based artist, Mark De Leon, further enhances the site. The mural was also designed with area children’s input.
