“Pretty Pictures Of Black Ladies Being Happy” is how photographer Alyssa Benjamin describes her debut portrait exhibition. Guests will get to spend an evening with the photographer as she grants an insider access to a world of black women rediscovering themselves.

“Black Lady: A Celebration of Black Womanhood” is the first in her series “Forward” which aims to create positive images of black people that are not centered in struggle or lack.
