Pits and grills will be fired up for some friendly competition at the 3rd annual Riverside Smoke Off. Staying true to the native cuisine of Texas participants will prepare a wide range of BBQ staples – brisket, pork ribs, chicken, sauce, beans, chef’s choice and Dutch Oven – Sweet.
Kids ages 5 – 17 years old are not left out in this competition – they can participate in ribeye steak and pork ribs. Riverside Smoke Off is where people can have a big time BBQing and hanging out, a little enjoyable rivalry between teams while having the chance to kick back, relax and enjoy the outdoors.
Cookers can enter eight categories: Brisket, Chicken, Pork Ribs, chef’s choice, Sauce, Beans, Dutch Oven Sweet and Best Decorated Site. Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in all categories except best decorated. The kids are not left out – the organizers added a Kid’s Cook Ribeye Steak (ages 5 – 8 years and 9 – 12 years) and ribs category (13 – 17 years).
