Cinema Arts Festival
Mexican screenwriter Guillermo Arriaga will reintroduce the film that first brought him international recognition, Amores Perros, at the Angelika Film Center on November 12.
Arriaga, who also wrote 21 Grams and Babel, is in town with Houston's Cinema Arts Festival. A reading from his novels and a discussion of his approach to writing is being hosted by Nuestra Palabra on November 13 at the Alabama Theater. That evening he will screen The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. The film is also the subject of the festival's "Setting the Scene" workshop on November 14.
