Cinema Arts Festival
Mexican screenwriter Guillermo Arriaga, writer of Amores Perros, 21 Grams and Babel,
is in town with Houston's Cinema Arts Festival. A reading from his
novels and a discussion of his approach to writing is being hosted by
Nuestra Palabra on November 13 at the Alabama Theater. That evening he
will screen The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada at the
Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. The film is also the subject of the
festival's "Setting the Scene" workshop on November 14 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
