Cindy Lisica Gallery will host a sculpture exhibition that brings together four artists combining innovative material processes with an investigation of human interaction and our impact on nature.

• Sarika Goulatia is a native of India, currently based in Pittsburgh, whose artworks invoke sensory perceptions beyond the visual and counter the excesses of consumerism.
• Felipe Lopez is a Houston-based artist who has shown work at numerous galleries and institutions, including the MFAH, CAMH, Houston Arts Alliance, Art Institute of Houston, and the KCAM. His recent compositions use light bulbs filled with resin (a synthetic material) and handmade fly-fishing lures, symbolic of the artist’s personal connection with fishing, water resources, and the environment.
• Shang-Yi Hua currently practices her sculptural work as a selected artist in the Glassell School of Art BLOCK studio residency program. Originally from Taipei, Taiwan, she has made her mark in Houston through stunning freestanding sculptures using tree bark, roots, metals, rope and resin. Her work highlights her dual cultures and the concept of “home” by calling attention to universal and spiritual ideas.
• Anthony Suber is a TX native who has recently shown at the Houston Museum of African American Culture, Sculpture Month Houston, and Project Row Houses. His work explores contemporary African American experience through the lens of his personal connection with religion and social relationships.

Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through April 15.
