Cindy Lisica Gallery will host a solo exhibition of Houston-based artist Anthony Suber. This new body of work draws from an extensive visual vocabulary of African diaspora and contemporary American experience. The artist executes his honed sculpture skills to create thoughtfully molded concrete and wood forms and oxidized metal pigments for his poetic paintings.

Audiences at the opening reception will witness a performance by the artist in collaboration with choreographer Harrison Guy, incorporating wearable artwork, sound and video for this special presentation of the piece, Griot Gospel. Through the artist’s personal connection with spiritual and social relationships, the multi-media artwork will transform the gallery and present a compelling visual journey through time and culture.

Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through July 1.
