Christopher Martin Gallery is bringing the work of Jean-Philippe Piter to Houston for the first time with the exhibit "Free Spirit" in collaboration with Atelier St Barth. The exhibit will feature nearly two dozen items, including new pieces alongside some of his timeless classics.
Piter shoots the majority of his images variously between St Barth, the Bahamas and Miami. The natural splendor of those places plays a big part in the ambiance and beauty of the images he creates, capturing the essence of the subjects and soul of the landscapes. Nature is definitely the second protagonist with each piece celebrating its own muse. His pieces are cheeky, sexy and fun – a twist on the classic nude intended to make you smile thanks to the artist’s signature humor.
The exhibit will be on display through August 14.
