Painter and gallerist Christopher Martin will be debuting new work at his eponymous Houston gallery alongside a crop of well-established Modern artists. The exhibit, titled "The New Modernists," will showcase a selection of abstracts by Martin created through the practice of verre églomisé or gilded glass - a reverse painting process that involves Martin painting directly onto the back plane of Lucite - alongside a collection of works by Jean-Paul Khabbaz, Matt Neuman, Kinga Czerska, Michael Enn Sirvet, and Guillermo "Miki" Gutiérrez.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display until April 7.
