The Children's Museum will welcome Erin Gruwell as the keynote speaker for the 2010 Parents and Families Luncheon. Gruwell will speak about how her unorthodox teaching methods transformed her students and put these formerly “un-teachable” kids on track for the future. Her life story inspired the movie Freedom Writers, in which Gruwell was played by Academy Award-winning actress Hillary Swank.
Luncheon proceeds will help support CMH’s early childhood and parenting programs.
