While weaving a gripping story around the transformation of an old movie theater, Virgin Talkies delves into the matrix of body, desire, pleasure and guilt. Theater owner Yakoob donates his cinema to the church because his wife believed that he was sinning by showing soft porn movies in his cinema. Father Michael, who takes over the church, has to deal with believers and the ghosts of and from cinema.
