Chamber Music Houston presents Artemis Quartett

eventdetail

Founded in 1989 and named for the Greek goddess of the hunt, this German quartet has defined its career by its deep commitment to music and music education (all of its members teach at the University of the Arts Berlin and Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth in Brussels), as well as the breathtaking passion of its playing. Their program on our stage is a departure from their signature Beethoven settings, and includes Mozart’s third Prussian quartet, known for its intricate counterpoint; the rondo-esque Bartok Quartet No. 2; and the lush and expressive Schumann's Quartet in A Minor.
